About Us

Learn more about our wedding venue in Newport, KY.

The historic church on the corner of 7th and Monroe that has become the Mansion Hill Sanctuary has had a storied history. Originally a Masonic Temple, the building has passed hands over time and been renovated by baptists and other denominations.

In 2006, the Shepherd family purchased the property and transformed it into a breathtaking multi-purpose event space that honors its past while embracing the needs of modern celebrations. Soaring ceilings, original hardwood floors, and radiant stained glass windows create a one-of-a-kind atmosphere that blends reverence with romance, elegance with versatility.

Perfect for non-denominational wedding ceremonies, receptions, corporate gatherings, or private celebrations, this wedding venue in Newport offers an unforgettable and charming setting in the Mansion Hill district on the east side of the East Row, just minutes from Newport on the Levee and downtown Cincinnati’s scenic riverfront, Mansion Hill Sanctuary combines timeless architecture with a prime location — making it a hidden gem for events of every kind.
